Welcome To Citizens for
Better Education,
a group of concerned citizens, community leaders and residents
concerned about providing quality education for our children. A
special election was scheduled for May 6th . However, the USD 259
school board voted to remove this issue from the ballot citing the
need for more time to educate voters.
According to published reports, the school board plans to place
this issue back on the ballot by November. Residents in Wichita’s
USD 259 school district should vote NO on the $350 million dollar
school bond measure. There’s a better way. USD 259 is still paying
for the last school bond passed only 8 years ago. In these uncertain
economic times, we need to move slowly and cautiously and not add
more debt to our city.
