Welcome To Citizens for Better Education,
a group of concerned citizens, community leaders and residents concerned about providing quality education for Wichita's children.

On August 11, the board of USD 259, the Wichita public school district, voted to increase the size of the bond issue to $370 million. The question will appear on the November 4 general election ballot.

Residents in Wichita’s USD 259 school district should vote NO on the $370 million dollar school bond measure. There’s a better way. USD 259 is still paying for the last school bond passed only eight years ago. In these uncertain economic times, we need to move slowly and cautiously and not add more debt to our school district.
